Working Principle

A high-speed rotating wiper assembly forces feed liquid into a uniform 0.5–2 mm thin film on the heated wall. Driven by gravity and wiper thrust in a spiral path, solvent flashes off rapidly — delivering exceptional heat transfer and seconds-level residence time that protects heat-sensitive materials.

What is the difference between short-path (molecular) distillation and thin film distillation?+
Short-path distillation uses an internal condenser 20–60 mm from the evaporation surface, achieving 0.001 mbar and near-straight molecular flight — ideal for ultra-heat-sensitive, high-purity, high-boiling-point separation. Thin film evaporation uses an external condenser at ~1 mbar, handling far higher viscosity (up to 100,000 cP) and larger throughput with simpler, more robust construction.
How do I choose the right system for my product and requirements?+
Tell us your feed composition, viscosity, boiling point, thermal sensitivity, target vacuum and desired purity. Our engineers run process simulation and select the optimal evaporator area, wiper type (hinged / sliding / fixed / roller), material (304 / 316L / 2205 / titanium / Hastelloy) and vacuum train.
Can YITENG provide a turnkey, skid-mounted solution?+
Yes. We deliver complete skid-mounted modular process systems with evaporators, condensers, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps, valves, wiring, piping and instrumentation — including engineering, HAZOP, documentation, installation, commissioning, training and spare-parts service.

We hold ASME U stamp, CE/PED 2014/68/EU, TRCU-EAC, DOSH, AS1210, CRN, NR13, MOM and China A2 license, plus ISO 9001/14001/45001. Design follows ASME VIII-1, EN 13445, GB 150 and GOST 34347.
